Kinja'd!!!

Was stopping by my school for a football game this past Friday and saw this. It was a 5.0 loaded with the fancy larger rim option and rear window louvers.

I can tell from just the internet that a lot of Mustang owners are decent people but all the guys I've met locally suck dick

The mustang is such a popular car that it's impossible to group all the owners into one. I can't drive two minutes without seeing a few of them here.

Okay legitimate question. Is taking up two parking spaces always an asshat move? From the looks of your picture there are tons of parking spots available. I've never had a car nice enough to worry about it getting dented but if you're parking a car you've paid a lot of money for and care about in a non-full parking lot (full of high school drivers no less) I'm not sure this is a totally unreasonable move.

I'd agree. If spaces are at a premium, it's a different story.

I probably woulda squeezed in on his left just cause.

Door dings happen because people are lazy, I only need a foot of room to get out of my car and I always cover the part of the door that would contact the other car with my hand.

He was in fact towards the rear of the lot so he wasn't an actual inconvenience to anybody, he just looked stupid, but in any situation taking up two spots is just greedy and unnecessary.

But other than being illegal, having a newish car doesn't excuse you from being able to park like that, even if you are sort of at risk at getting a ding from a teenager. My dad owned cars worth many times that Mustang and never pulled that shit, populated parking lot or not, and he loved his cars as much as anyone could.

Eh, my view is no harm no foul. No one was inconvenienced by it so it's a fair play.

I guess so, was annoyed just enough to take a pic. Goes nicely with the SLS parking thread though!

There's a middle-aged guy with a new 5.0 who lives around me. Bone-stock, blacked-out, louvers, the works.

He put decals on his car that say K.I.T.T.

...cmon man, it's not even the right automaker. Try again next time.

I definitely always parked politely myself, even when I was driving dad's E90. One spot, one car; I would just park out in the boonies.

It may be sacrilege but in the ill advised 2008 reboot KITT was a Mustang

And your dad apparently had enough money not to care/to get it fixed/or just keep buying new cars. Is it smart to spend all your money on a car? Probably not, but lots of people do it. This guy is just trying to protect something that he cares about in a place I would never want to park.

There were much better spots there that would've better protected his car without forcing him to park incorrectly and that wouldn't have forced him to walk any further

a lot of new 5.0 owners are assholes
